How the process works

For future reference, I would like to share with you how the news component on the school/program homepage should be set up so we can get the right stories on each program website.

Correct setup for the news component on the program home page

• Path: News will need a path to be pulled from. There should be two paths at all times: one that pulls from The Creative School news page and one for the program's news pages. This will allow us to pull news from both feeds while still showing relevant program-specific news.

• Using RTA as an example, these should be the paths:

  • Path1:

    /content/ryerson/the-creative-school/news-events

  • Path 2:

    /content/ryerson/rta/newsevents

• Tags: Then, under additional parameters/ "News must contain at least one of the following tags," we need to add the correct tags

• Using RTA as an example, these should be the tags:

  • TMU Faculties : The Creative School / Media Production
  • TMU Faculties : The Creative School / Sport Media
