In this guide you will find:
1.1 Setting up a new file
When assigned a task/project, feel free to create a new page in your Figma project
Avoid creating or work from your free Figma team, because no one else in the team will have access to it, making it harder to review/approve the work
Always work in your respective Figma folder, you should have access to it already
See below for available Figma folders where your work should live:
When you are about to start a new task/project, you will need to create a new page, ensure you are adding a title, your name and the date you started to the page’s’ name. See below for example:
Please ensure you add a title and context about the task, as well as the date and your name. This will help with record keeping and proper file management. See below:

1.2 Preparing your work for review
Once you have completed the asset, you can now tag your supervisor for review/approval.
Using the comments feature
Tagging stakeholders for review/approval: Feel free to tag any stakeholder involved in the post you are designing so we can give you helpful direction before you finish the design.
You can add a comment by going to the bottom panel and click the comment icon. See below:

IMPORTANT: Always leave comments inside of frames or sections, the reason is because, when we want to organize or move things around in the canvas, comments only move if they are inside a frame or a section.

When you receive feedback, please create a copy of your current asset (copy/paste) and apply those changes to the created copy so that we can see all the progress. Do not delete anything. Record keeping is key when working on design stuff, because there might be times where we want to go back to a previous version.
1.4 Figma Canvas organization

Canvas organization is crucial to ensure we are appropriately managing all digital assets. The goal of organizing your canvas is to ensure you are tracking your progress, record keeping feedback loops and to provide an overview of the entire progress for the project, from ideation, exploration, to final execution
