Steps to get verified

Create a Figma account.

  1. If you don’t have a Figma account, go to www.figma.com and sign up for Figma by clicking “Get started for free”

  2. Create a Figma account using your TMU email.

  3. You will receive a validation email, click on the link you got and complete the steps to create the account

  4. When prompted to choose a subscription plan, click under the Professional plan, the line that reads “Free Education when verified” See below:

Fill in the Application form for the Education Plan

Once you have created a Figma account

  1. If you have a Figma account already you can go to www.figma.com/education/apply
  2. Complete the application form with the required information.
  3. If you are applying as administrator: when prompted to upload documents, you can use your latest paystub (PDF or screenshot) or offer letter. Notice Figma is using a third party that ensures privacy when reviewing these type of documents. No one will have access or see what we upload to it. It is only used to verify we work for the university.
  4. If you are applying as a student (for Career Boost Students): ensure you upload a class syllabus from a course you are currently taking.
